Can I stay in Vegas?

You know the saying "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." Well I am happy to have brought back memories in the photos below, but I'd rather I had stayed in Vegas! I've locked myself in my bedroom because I finally came face to face with the mouse in my house that has been leaving little droppings and breaking into my dog food the past few nights. He's huge! I'd rather be anywhere than right here right now.

So instead of beating the thing to death with a broom, I am waiting patiently for a friend to come over and beat the thing to death while I post my vacation photos. And miss the wonderful shopping, dining, and fabulous weather we encountered during our stay last weekend.

We had dinner before seeing "O" at Olives, one of the restaurants at Bellagio. We ate out on the patio and had an amazing view of the fountains:

These are some of the amaaaaazing desserts at Olives. We had five of them, and passed them around the table:

Jill and Cap's Texas wildflower engagement portrait session

I can't say enough nice things about this couple! Jill sent me their story when I posted a free engagement shoot giveaway back in February and we met up for their shoot in Chappell Hill while the bluebonnets were in bloom last month.

Jill and Cap instantly made me feel like we had been friends forever and their personalities really came out throughout the shoot! They had me laughing behind the lens and I loved capturing their laughter in front of the lens. I may have gotten my first sunburn of the season that day, but I barely noticed (until a day later of course) and can't thank you guys enough for such a fun session!

Below are several of my favorites!

We met up in Chappell Hill, hopped into one car, and headed down a country road. We spotted this enormous field of yellow flowers first.

Sneak peek of Jill and Cap's wildflower engagement session

It's true, I've fallen off of the face of world wide web. And I'm jumping right back in with a sneak peek of Jill and Cap's Texas wildflower engagement session we shot in Chappell Hill last month. Yes, the wildflowers were stunning, but I fell in love with so many of the images in black and white!

Check back tomorrow for the rest!

May desktop calendar wallpaper

Well if April showers bring May flowers, I suppose a blooming flower would be the best pick for May's desktop calendar wallpaper. We'll just ignore the fact that bluebonnets are no longer in bloom! They were stunning this season, and I got the chance to shoot Jill and Cap's engagement session in the Texas wildflowers last month. (Picture post coming soon). I snapped this photo in between their shots.

P.S. I shot my friends' wedding portraits yesterday and as morbidly as it sounds, also photographed a dead frog we found on the ground. Later on everyone decided it would make for the perfect "Slice of Life Sunday" post today, but I figured this was a better choice, yes?
