One of the most relaxing and beautiful weekends just ended. I'm tired, a little sunburned, and satisfied with the treasures I found out at the Marburger Farms Antique Show in Round Top yesterday. My oldest friend (as in longevity of friendship, not age) and I met up for a relaxing weekend at a bed and breakfast in Bellville to attend the antique shows in Round Top and I rounded out the weekend with a fun engagement shoot in the bluebonnets and other wildflowers out in Chappell Hill. I am pooped! And in awe of the natural beauty and serenity in central Texas.
I will post my wildflower photos later in the week, but first some random shots from the weekend. Nichole and I got a kick out of this decoration in the bed and breakfast. Our motto for the weekend? To simpify.

The next gem came after a conversation that went a little like this while picking over the dessert menu at Sonic:
K: I can't decide between the hot fudge sundae or chocolate malt. Wait, what is a Sonic Blast?
N: I think like a McFlurry at McDonald's. Or like a Blizzard.
PAUSE. N & K exchange glances while K gasps.
N: THERE'S A DAIRY QUEEN IN TOWN!
Now to understand our excitement, you have to know that DQ's do not exist anywhere near the vicinity of where either of us live. And that a Blizzard is The. Best. Ice.Cream. you can get at a fast food place in Texas.
So anyways, we drive over there and we wait in the drive through line. Behind people walking through the drive through line. Because their trailer won't fit. Oh, the simple life!
