My life on hold
To say the past two weeks have been hectic/emotional/unexpected is an understatement. Labor Day weekend marked the beginning of a new challenge for my family and life since then has been a roller coaster of emotions. We are all doing just fine now and have started the recovery process after an unexpected health scare. I won't go into all the details, some family matters should still stay sacred in this internet age of wearing one's heart on the world wide web. But bottom line, we are all doing well and in fine health, and I can't really ask for more at this point.
So, to say the least, I'm behind on life. I've been emotionally zapped and easing back into my daily routine, so while I do have a few things I'm excited to blog about, it'll be a little bit longer before they make an appearance here. In the meantime, I'd love to share someone else's amazing photos. I was so excited to see that my sister Kim's wedding photographer finally posted her wedding photos on their blog the other day. And I LOVE them! They did an incredible job of capturing the energy and emotion of the day. The reception was, simply put, a fabulous party! Looking at the photos, I can hear the live band, feel the happy tears I cried, see Nick's face every time he looked at Kim, and hear the maid-of-honor speech I recited over and over in my head just so I wouldn't mess it up.
For those of you who may have ended up here and don't know me, I'm the ridiculously photogenic redhead in several of the photos, and I'm a little on the vain side.

Love,

of course the photos are beautiful, but I really love the facial expressions the photographers captured. they look like totally raw snapshots of joy, thoughtfulness, nerves etc. very cool.
